You may have found your way to this site because you were looking for a different Matt Rand. That's cool. Whatever. For your convenience and to avoid confusion, I've listed here Matt Rands that I know I'm not.

Matt Rands who are not me:

• The Matt Rand quoted in articles about the EPA. He's in biotechnology.
• The Carleton professor.
• The Matt Rand accused (and I think cleared) of rape in the UK.
• My Factiva and LexisNexis doppelganger, the Jerusalem Post correspondent.
• The Prudential real estate broker. He is not me, but apparently he has had a conversation with an ex-girlfriend of mine. Small world. Or common name. He owns mattrand.net. Nice try.
• The British guy who wants my domain name. I think .co.uk or something might be available. Besides, what's wrong with movingly.com?
• Another Matt Rand writes in to say:

  Matt, I know you've waited a long time for this, and here it is: I am most certainly not "the awesome matt rand from new hampshire that rules."

• A write-in comes from the AS/400 computer programmer in Manhattan. I'm not him.
• In addition to alerting me to his own existence, he (the computer programming Matt Rand) tipped me off to the potential existence of still another Matt Rand. AS/400 programmer Matt Rand writes:
  

  If you come across a Matt Rand who had some dealings with Penn View
  Bible Institute, I have his bill at my address!

• The guy who wrote the letter to the editor on page 10 of the March 26, 2007 issue of Metro (warning: that link is a pdf).
